Independent reading book: Six Years
six years is a fantastic thriller written by Harlan Coben. It is about a college professor named Jake Fischer who had given up the love of his life six years ago when he promise her he would let her and her new husband go. one day he sees on the school website that her husband Todd had suddenly died, he decides that since the promise was to leave them alone and not just her that he should pay her a visit and give her his condolences. when he arrives at the wake the love of his life Natalie is no where to be found, there is Tod's widow but no sign of Natalie, how could this be possible, how has Natalie just vanished into thin air. soon the reade4r is thrown into a fast pasted thriller with our protagonist Jake stumbling onto multiple secrets that are far greater then him or anyone else involved. the protagonist Jake is extremely likeable, he is about 6'5" and strong and at the same time very intelligent making him likeable in an action packed thriller. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense and thrillers.
Favorite childhood books
Growing up one of my favorite books was were the wild things are. The book appeared mysterious and adventurous. The stories protagonist ran away from home in a little boat to a land full of monsters, where he convinces them that he is a king. Until he becomes home sick and sails back home.the main point of the story is to teach children that being wild may seem fun but, you need your family and leaving them is no answer to being upset. The book is often viewed as almost scary and frightening for children but I really enjoyed and it is one of the oldest books I can remember.

About Me

My name is Jacob and I enjoy only certain types of books, I tend to enjoy books pertaining to sports or survival. I have never been a fan of  "feminine" literature. I enjoy books that show the grit of society, and the underbelly of fate. i like to read about extraordinary adventures and travels to new lands, people swimming against the current, people standing alone against society in what may seem a hopeless situation. i try to live my life similarly to this by taking what ever adventures life gives me, and standing up for what you feel is right.
